In the final year of the PYP, students, carry out an extended, in-depth, collaborative project known as the PYP exhibition. Students working collaboratively to conduct an in-depth inquiry into real life issues or problems in ways that can be shared with the whole school community.
To celebrate the transition of their next phase of learning journey, on April 25-26, 2019 Grade 5 students will have their public presentation, presenting their PYP Exhibition process to all school community and the invited guests. It is a unique and significant opportunity for them to display the attributes of the IB learner profiles that they have developed throughout their engagement within the PYP and the PYP Exhibition.
There will be 11 groups focusing on three different Transdisciplinary of How the world works, How we organize ourselves, and Sharing the planet. With their agency, students developed their central idea, concepts and related concepts, lines of inquiry, and Quran verse throughout the eight cycle of the PYP Exhibition: (1) learning through inquiry, (2) demonstrations of learner profiles, (3) utilizing ATL skills, (4) collaboration to plan learning and teaching, (5) setting learning goals and success criteria, (6) reflection upon and modification of inquiry, (7) considering action on learning, and (8) self-assessment.
