Personal Project Internal Assessment With Head Of School

On March 19-20, Grade 10 students (MYP Year 5) will have Internal Assessment by Head of School. The assessment is internally formed as an integral strategy of teaching and learning. In this matter, Head of School acknowledges the process to understand what students have learned, provide meaningful feedback, and encourage authentic performances of understanding that call for critical and creative thinking.

As the assessment in MYP is ongoing, varied and integral to the curriculum, students benefit from assessing their own work and the work of others through a variety of assessments and consolidations of learning, culminating in the MYP with the personal project.

The personal project encourages students to practice and strengthen their ATL skills, consolidate prior and subject-specific learning and develop an area of personal interest. Personal projects revolve around a challenge that motivates and interest’s individual students.

Final external assessments for MYP students are internationally benchmarked, balancing valid measurement with reliable results. []
